Rowan Doyle

Rowan is a mechanical engineer with postgraduate qualifications in Thermodynamics (CPGS, Cantab) and management (MBA, Deakin).

He worked for BHP Billiton in a variety of roles in Australia and overseas, including Engineering, Operations, Project development, IT, and Health, Safety and Environment – designing and deploying world leading global systems in Safety, Health and Environmental monitoring.
After BHP Billiton, Rowan helped to form SREC, a leading Australian Commercial renewable energy developer.

At SREC he designed and implemented solar PV systems for schools, wineries, concrete plants and farms, but was passionate about the need to reduce consumption before sizing a PV system to produce the best cost and energy outcome for clients. ┬áThis led him to forming Efficient Initiatives – a company aiming to help clients optimise cost, comfort and climate outcomes through reducing energy demand.

Rowan is now working with the Carlton Connect Initiative (now 333x) to establish and operate the Victorian Energy Incubator.
